Inspiring great places to eat and drink

Kendrick Hobbs; trusted and innovative catering consultants

Experienced and independent we are relied upon by esteemed arts, commercial and public sector organisations.

We are uniquely placed to advise how best to plan, setup, design, organise and manage catering operations in theatres, visitor attractions, historic houses, music halls, museums and galleries.

We appreciate the need for suitable commercial facilities but also a need for services to be sympathetic, relevant and demonstrate empathy for the broader activities and goals of the venue in which they are located.

Much of Kendrick Hobbs’ work is team based with appraisal of, development or regeneration of catering in precious buildings and places. As such we are required to provide well conceived and commercially astute information as to how catering can be delivered to suit a broad range of end users.

Mark – what a great project thanks for being such a great collegiate player and helping make Open-Up a fantastic success.

We used Kendrick Hobbs for an independent review of our catering operations at Sage Gateshead. Mark provided clear, honest and no-nonsense advice, leading us into making the best decision for the organisation. With his wealth of industry knowledge, Mark was a fundamental player through our tender process – and it was clear his opinion is widely respected in the industry.
Phillip Baitch, The Sage Gateshead
Mark has worked with Turner Contemporary at various points in our development, including planning for the future design and operation of the catering offer prior to opening, and in leading a tender process helping us to identify and appoint a catering operator to work with us on site. Mark has always provided excellent support, really understanding Turner Contemporary, helping to ensure the appointment of a suitable catering partner.
Richard Morsley, Turner Contemporary
Mark Hobbs has worked with the Bluecoat trading company board since its inception. The group had a challenging task of turning around a failing catering operation and Mark’s very wide-ranging experience and clear insight into the levers that needed to be turned produced an excellent result. Mark sticks with a problem until it is solved, contributing consistently to find solutions.
Mary Cloake, The Bluecoat Liverpool
Thank you very much for your revised report. This is an excellent piece of work which will assist the Birmingham Conservation Trust Director and the Trustees in planning how to take forward a catering operation at the Coffin Works. It has been very good to work with you again.
